My First Kiss... Ever!

So my first kiss.. haha it really is a funny story. I used to always tell myself I'd never kiss someone on the first date.. I didn't really have a reason except that I'd heard it was best not to, and I always thought it'd be a good thing to be able to tell my kids when they started dating.. (when I get there).
Well, it all started in about February of this year.. I went down to Paradise, UT, to hang out with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins there. When my Aunt found out I was coming down, she got me a blind date, so I went down probably about 4 more times after that and went out with a different blind date like every time. None of them really went further than that first date.. and then my Aunt set me up with Jesse.. he's one of those army guys, and just knows how to get what he wants I guess...
For our date Jesse and I went geocaching. I think this was in April, so it was cold and there was still snow on the ground. So of course after we found the first cache on the side of a mountain my hands were ice cubes so he had to hold them to warm them up.. and when we couldn't find the second one (we really looked every where). We decided to go watch a movie at his sisters where he was staying. Well... during the movie at the very beginning I told him he couldn't kiss me.. I told him I hadn't ever been kissed and since it was the first date it just wasn't allowed.. He asked me why.. and I really didn't have a reason.
Well.. so Jesse promised me he wouldn't kiss me, but he said I would kiss him first. He teased me hard core.. he kissed my neck and would just get so close.. I finally gave in and kissed him... it pretty much turned into a total make out session.. But the story even gets better.. I didn't ever see him again after that, and about 4 weeks later he was engaged! I think it's a pretty crazy first kiss story.. but it kinda makes me sound like a bad person.. atleast I didn't get my first kiss until I was 21 yrs old... I guess that almost justifies it.. :/

Summer Time!

Okay, so just some random thoughts and what's going on in my life right now. I still don't have a job. I've been looking more now. But there's just nothing available... It's sad. I guess I might just have to convince my grandma to travel more so I can be her chauffeur, So to start out this summer I moved home from school and babysat for my mom for a week while she went to Canada to be with my older sister who'd just had her baby. I then just helped my mom babysit while I sort of looked for jobs until I took my grandma to Denver to attend my cousin's graduation. Driving in Denver is so much fun! There were 6 lanes of highways going one way! I sped just enough to stay in the fast lane and when a slow car got in front of me, I'd weave through all the lanes of traffic.. it was fun. It started to rain too and my grandma said she was sure glad I was driving. I drove during the whole trip. Clear through Wyoming and back. It was fun. We took our time going and coming, stopped for the night at hotels, and pulled off the road a couple of times to take pictures. Who knew that Wyoming is actually beautiful? I always thought it was just desert and barren.. But I've been Chauffeuring my grandma alot this summer, we went to Denver, and then Logan like 4 times, and Tremonton once... okay it doesn't sound like a lot, but it was for me. It has been an amazing summer. I've gone on tons of dates almost one every weekend, and I got my first kiss, and have already kissed 2 other guys.. which is sad. I have by far the best first kiss story ever, but it's kinda embarrassing too. haha I've floated the dry bed 3 times, I went to Lava, hiked to the upper palisades, learned how to fly fish, went to Mesa Falls, hiked to the Devil's staircase, and it's been awesome! Most of the pictures I have on Facebook.. and if someone asks I'll type up my first kiss story and post it.

How to get rid of butterflies in the tummy...

I was feeling really nervous the other day, so I asked a friend how to get rid of the butterflies in my tummy.. she said to swallow a snake.. so I randomly decided to write this poem.. sorry it swears, I'm the kind of person who swears, but it just fit the poem and my mood a little better. Tell me what you think.

I know a girl who was nervous as hell .. I don’t know why she was nervous as hell I hope she get better and begins feeling swell.

She had those butterflies and didn't feel well.. the ones you get when you’re nervous as hell, I don’t know why she was nervous as hell.. I hope she gets better and begins feeling swell.

She swallowed a snake to eat those butterflies.. that tickled and trembled and fluttered inside her...She had those butterflies and didn’t feel well, the ones you get when you’re nervous as hell, I don't know why she was nervous as he** I hope she gets better and begins feeling swell!

She swallowed a cat to eat the snake that slithered and shook deep down inside her..
She swallowed a snake to eat those butterflies.. that tickled and trembled and fluttered inside her...
She had those butterflies and didn’t feel well, the ones you get when you’re nervous as hell,
I don't know why she was nervous as he** I hope she gets better and begins feeling swell!

She swallowed a dog to kill that cat that clawed and meowed and just hurt down inside her..
She swallowed a cat to eat the snake that slithered and shook deep down inside her..She swallowed a snake to eat those butterflies.. that tickled and trembled and fluttered inside her...She had those butterflies and didn’t feel well, the ones you get when you’re nervous as hell, I don't know why she was nervous as he** I hope she gets better and begins feeling swell!

She swallowed a horse to chase that dog that barked and rolled over and chewed up inside her She swallowed a dog to kill that cat that clawed and meowed and just hurt down inside her.. She swallowed a cat to eat the snake that slithered and shook deep down inside her..She swallowed a snake to eat those butterflies.. that tickled and trembled and fluttered inside her...She had those butterflies and didn’t feel well, the ones you get when your nervous as hell,

I don't know why she was nervous as hell but after swallowing a horse I greatly doubt she’ll get ever feel swell in fact I bet she’s dead and hopefully in heaven not hell…

The moral of this story is don’t ever get nervous as hell… just as nervous as crap! What a trap!

I don't know...

So, just a couple things that have been on my mind.. I have 3 weeks of school left! I can't wait but I think in almost every one of my classes I have a big project due, In programming I have an image processing program due, in Statistics I have some projects and portfolios due, in Web Design I have my website due (check it out at janamortimer.net) in Family History I have this huge compilation of family history work due, and in Social dance we have competitions and this weird performance thing we're doing as a class, In art I have this crazy 5 project thing due... And I still have finals in Web Design, Programming, and maybe that's all... I can't believe it 3 more weeks! and I figured out that there is like no way I can get an A in programming and a very slim chance of getting an A in Web Design....
The next thing that's been on my mind is a summer job... I'm not sure I'll get the job I had last summer, and I'm not sure I want it back. I would really like to get a job as a web designer or programmer intern.. I could do the bottom code for projects or whatever and I'd learn more stuff related to my major.. My problem with that is, I don't know if I want to live at home... I mean I do... but I don't.. I want to irrigate this summer and work in the yard.. but I don't want to wake up at 4:30 to help milk cows.. I like sleep... And my parents drive me nuts! They say I'm selfish, immature and lazy.. but I'm not! I'll do anything for my mom! and once I get up at 7:00 I'm up for the rest of the day and I do work! It's just annoying. So to solve this problem I'm trying to decide if I want to live in rexburg and just get an apartment or move to Logan and live with my Aunt and Uncle... I guess it all depends on where I get a job... haha well that's the main stuff that's been on my mind.. let me know what you think.. leave a comment! haha

My hair!

Before

So, last Friday I finally fulfilled a change I've been thinking of making since last summer! Last summer I happened to take some pictures with one of my cameras that does crazy things, and the lighting in my room and the way the camera took pictures it looked like my hair was super dark! It actually looked okay. I had a friend ask me if I had ever thought of coloring my hair dark around Thanksgiving time and it wasn't until February 6th I officially did it. Here's the difference: After (not a very good picture)

My Best Friend Jessica!!

Another one of my greatest friends is Jessica Roberts. Haha she's wonderful! She's someone who you can never depend on to be on time, or to show up when you want her to... but she tries her best. haha Jessica is a year older than me and always let me tag along in High School, I gained so many friends with Jessica's help. She's someone who is nice to talk to and fun to be with. One of our favorite things to do is to take pictures. We all get dress up and then one person poses while the other 2 take pictures... it sounds weird typing it out like this, but It's a blast! Haha Jessica and I met 4 years ago through our good friend Kim. I think... When we found out she lived so close to me we started doing lots together, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have done many after school activities... She's a wonderful person, and you can depend on her.. you just have to depend on it that she'll be late... haha Jessica is easily one of my best friends and a great person to be around, she keeps Cara and I in line... until you get Jessica a Dr. Pepper... but then she's just kinda scary.. haha sitting on cookies... and watching movies upside down... haha I don't know where I'd be with out her.

My Best Friend Cara!

I met my best friend Cara my second day at Bonneville High School. We were in P.E. together and were automatic running partners cause we seemed to run at the exact same pace. At first I had a hard time trying to figure out where to eat lunch, but I finally found some cool guys to sit with and Cara quickly joined me at their crazy table. Pretty much after day one, Cara and I were inseparable, we would meet up before school if she rode the bus, and we usually had a couple of classes together, and then we'd eat lunch together, Lunches were funny in high school.. for some reason when Cara and I got done eating we didn't like to sit around and wait for the bell to ring, we would walk around the commons area, getting atleast 4 or 5 rounds in. haha but I think that was more our Senior year, our Junior Year I honestly don't remember what we did, I'd like to say we went around and hung out with all the seniors who were my friends, but Cara doesn't remember half of them.. I was popular with the seniors, I went to most of the Senior parties and knew more of the Seniors then the Juniors who were my age.. but this isn't about me. I remember Cara and I doing crazy things in high school.. like a foam soap fight, having skipping contests, and jumping off walls, it was great! We didn't really do alot in High School together other than lunch. I think one of my favorite memories from high school was when Cara and I asked some guys to a girls choice dance and she was getting ready at my house. My dad was sitting in the living room (which is where the girls in my family get ready.. that sounds weird but when there was 8 kids in the house and only 2 bathrooms it worked out best for us girls to do our hair and makeup in the living room.. ) talking to us while we were doing our hair and him being an artist was like "You guys look way too much alike, Cara, what's your last name again?" and he then looked up her last name in our family books and figured out that Cara and I are 3rd cousins! We thought that was pretty cool. I loved going to school at Bonneville, and now when I look back I wish I would have graduated from there, even if it would have meant I wouldn't have known half the people I would have graduated with, and wouldn't have been able to go to Indiana for FFA.. But.. once Cara and I got to College we were able to hang out alot more and we did. Now that Cara is actually focusing more on school, I have people always asking me where she is and why she's not with me. It's kinda funny and since we did so much together people always get our names messed up. She has always been a wonderful friend.
